A wide range of ICB’s roofing solutions have been installed across eight roofs at the new Scientia Academy in Burton-on-Trent – reinforcing the company’s unrivalled reputation for delivering multi-component roofing systems under a single point guarantee.
Working with main contractor Seddon and specialist contractor Stoneleigh Roofing Services, ICB supplied over 2,500m2 of roofing materials. The comprehensive solution included the award-winning EVALON® V waterproofing membrane and Evatherm A Tapered Insulation, as well as Evagreen green roof and Inventux Solar PV system to cut the building’s energy costs.
Stoneleigh appointed ICB Projects to install 6.75kWP of Inventux solar panels using the innovative ICB solar fixing technology. This offers a fast, simple and safe installation and obviates the need for penetrating the waterproofing membrane. Efficient even in low light, the thin film Solar PV array will also significantly cut the school’s energy bills. With the addition of 570m2 EvaGreen extensive roof, the school will benefit from a low maintenance, and for the most part, self-supporting green roof. As well as improving the building’s overall appearance, the green roof will improve the environment whilst protecting the roofing membrane thereby enhancing its life expectancy.
